Drift?
Boat Care Should Work as Hard as You Do
You invested in your boat to spend more time on the water - not more time cleaning up afterward.
But traditional boat care often turns every lake day into a long list of chores: one product for washing, another for water spots, another for polishing, and still another for protection. Add harsh chemical odors, repeated scrubbing, confusing instructions, and products that were never truly designed for modern marine surfaces, and maintaining your boat can start to feel like a second job.
Drift was created to offer a better way.
Clean less. Play more.

Not Just the Easy Parts
What are you cleaning?
Boats are built from a dozen different materials, and each one wants something different. Pick a surface to see which Drift products are made for it — and in what order to use them.
Gelcoat & fiberglass
The largest surface on the boat and the one that shows neglect first. Oxidation, waterline scum and hard water spots all start here.
Never wash a hot hull in direct sun — soap and spot remover dry before you can rinse them, which is how etching starts.
Marine vinyl & leather
Seating takes the worst of the sun. Fading and cracking are UV damage, not dirt, and no amount of scrubbing reverses them.
Avoid silicone dressings on marine vinyl. They look glossy for a week, then leave a slick, dust-grabbing film.
EVA foam & non-skid decking
Textured decking traps sunscreen, fish oil and shoe scuff in its pores, which is why a rinse alone never quite works.
Pressure washing at close range flattens the texture on foam decking. Let the chemistry dwell and agitate with a soft brush instead.
Glass, screens & mirrors
Windshields and electronics need a cleaner that will not haze coatings or strip anti-glare layers on touchscreens.
Never spray straight onto a screen bezel. Mist the towel, then wipe, so nothing runs behind the glass.
Chrome, stainless & aluminum
Rails, cleats, props and towers. Salt film here turns into pitting far faster than on gelcoat.
Rinse hardware with fresh water after every saltwater trip, even if you are not washing the whole boat.
Carpet & upholstery
Snap-in carpet and cloth seating hold moisture and odor long after the surface feels dry.
Dry it fully before covering the boat. Trapped damp is what turns a stain into mildew.
Trailer, wheels & tires
The part nobody details and the part that rusts first. Brake dust and road film are acidic and they sit there all week.
Rinse the trailer, especially the brakes and springs, immediately after any saltwater launch.
Canvas, covers & bimini
Covers do the hardest UV work on the boat and get cleaned the least often.
Do not use products that strip factory water repellency. Rinse thoroughly and dry fully before folding.
High performance without an unnecessarily complicated process
Boat owners are often forced to choose between two extremes: a quick cleanup that leaves behind spots, residue, embedded grime, and little meaningful protection or an intensive detailing process that can consume hours and require a shelf full of chemicals, tools, and finishing products.
Drift was designed to close that gap.
Spray. Wipe. Done.
Routine maintenance should not require an entire afternoon. Drift’s daily-use formulas are designed to make post-lake wipedowns fast and straightforward.
Deep clean without the drama
When surfaces need more attention, specialized cleaners help loosen stubborn contamination so the formula—not endless physical effort—does more of the work.
Protection without the waxing marathon
Modern spray protection makes it possible to create gloss, slickness, and hydrophobic performance without the repetitive apply-dry-buff process associated with traditional wax.
A system that makes sense
Every Drift product has a defined purpose, helping eliminate guesswork, unnecessary duplication, and incompatible maintenance steps.
Drift helps protect the finish you worked to create
A freshly cleaned boat looks great at the ramp. A properly protected boat is easier to maintain after the next lake day.
That distinction is central to the Drift System.
Our protection products are designed to create a smoother, more hydrophobic surface that helps water move away from the finish and reduces the opportunity for contamination to bond as aggressively. The result is not simply a better-looking boat today—it is a surface that is better prepared for tomorrow’s cleanup.
Water beads and releases more easily
A hydrophobic surface causes water to form tighter beads and move more readily across the finish.
Dirt has less to hold onto
A slicker protected surface can make dust, grime, and everyday contamination easier to remove during routine maintenance.
Gloss lasts beyond the initial application
Protection enhances the finished appearance while helping preserve that just-detailed look between major cleanings.
Future cleanups become easier
The time spent protecting your boat can reduce the effort required to maintain it after subsequent use.
Created from firsthand frustration
Drift Marine Co. began with a familiar problem.
As boat owners, our founders cared deeply about protecting their investment, but repeatedly encountered products that were difficult to use, unpleasant to work with, or unable to deliver the performance promised on the bottle.
The result became The Drift System - a growing ecosystem of products created to help boat owners clean more efficiently, protect more effectively, and enjoy ownership more completely.
This is not another collection of generic cleaners.
This is performance marine care,
built from the waterline up.
